Nelson Juma Otwoma

National Coordinator

Nelson is a holder of a BA in Anthropology (1996) and an MA in Anthropology (2005) from the University of Nairobi. He obtained a certificate under the Management Development for Managers and Leaders of HIV/AIDS Organizations by the Management Development Institute (MDI)/AMREF in 2008 and also has a certificate in Results Based Management (RBM) focused Monitoring and Evaluation by the Regional AIDS Training Network (2012) in addition to his Certificate in Health and HIV/AIDS Budget Tracking, with special focus on National AIDS Spending Assessment (Resource Allocation and Expenditure Tracking) by the Centre for Economic Governance and AIDS in Africa (CEGAA) (2007). Nelson has over 15 years experience in management of public health interventions (latest being a Social Scientist, KEMRI/CDC/ITM; Nyanza Youth Interventions Programme (2001 – 2005) and HIV/AIDS (BCC) Programme Manager, Maanisha: a Community Based HIV and AIDS interventions, AMREF (2005 – August 2009). The work at AMREF had a significant component of the Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening (ODSS) for AIDS Service Organizations (ASOS).

Jane Mukami Mutuui

Programme Manager

Jane is a holder of Masters Degree (International Relations) with over 10 years experience in HIV and AIDS work, 5 of which working with networks of PLHIV, including at the Kenya Network of Women with AIDS (KENWA) as the Programme Manager. She has experience actively working in the development sector in various programs specifically Health and empowerment of youth, women and Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) in Kenya through results based and human rights based approach. She also hands on skills in working in collaboration with partners to strengthen public, private and community based responses to development, health and social issues through Advocacy and Communication, program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Arnold Otieno

Programme Officer – Western Region

Arnold holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree and has professional qualifications in Accounting (CPA II). He has also completed a post graduate diploma in project planning and management and is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance. Arnold has more than three years working in community HIV and AIDS programmes, especially in enhancing sustainability of youth lead programmes and mobilizing resources by enhancing NEPHAK networks and partnerships. He has also worked in Advocacy & Communication and Resource Mobilization & Partnership. Arnold has also been supporting the ICT component at NEPHAK.

Florence Anam

Advocacy and Communication Officer

Florence Riako Anam has a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Maseno University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Community Health and Development from Great Lakes University (GLUK). She has more than 7 years experience actively working in HIV/AIDS programs in Kenya and has hands on skills in working in collaboration with partners to strengthen public, private and community based responses to HIV/AIDS and other health and social issues through Advocacy and Communication. For 4 years and managed WLHIV and A/YPLHIV initiatives at NEPHAK. She previously worked at Kenya Network of Women with AIDS (KENWA) as a Program Officer; Advocacy and Communication and recently Pharm Access Africa Limited (PAAL) as a Program Officer; HIV/AIDS workplace Wellness. She is an experienced facilitator and trainer and is registered with Professional Trainers Association of Kenya (PTAK). Florence has conducted Training Needs Assessments and contributed to the development of several work place policies, conducted various Radio and TV interviews and outreaches, documented articles for newspapers and magazines and is instrumental in using the social media to raise awareness and seek public response on issues of HIV/AIDS and health.

Julius is a Certified public Accountant part II and has about three years experience in accounting at NEPHAK. He has also worked in both public and private sectors as an Accountant.

Julianna is NEPHAK first YPLHIV Focal Point supported by the GNP+ at NEPHAK (since 2012) and is responsible for mobilizing YPLHIV to reclaim their sexual reproductive health and rights. She is the lead YPLHIV person in the Access Service and Knowledge (ASK) project at NEPHAK being implemented in Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Kakamega Counties

Coordinator, Sauti Skika Adolescents Initiative

Lucy is the Coordinator of the Sauti Skika Adolescents Initiative at NEPHAK and A/YPLHIV Focal Point supported by Y+ through the GNP+, under the new initiative to support national networks and/ or groups of Young People living with HIV (YPLHIV) including young key populations, in Kenya, to participate in, and influence National Strategy Planning (NSP) for HIV, Health, SRHR/Family planning (FP), including monitoring their implementation, reviews and discussions within national Adolescent health working groups
