NEPHAK partners with UNICEF in an initiative to empower ALHIV

NEPHAK with support from the UNICEF Kenya office is implementing and initiative aimed to empower adolescents living with HIV (ALHIV) to increase participation in advocacy for improved access to HIV prevention and treatment interventions, increase demand for access to sexual reproductive health options and improve their quality of life. The initiative seeks to have a pool of skilled and confident ALHIV (boys and girls) who can engage in media related advocacy as well as to contribute to policy and programme meetings with at county national and global levels. The initiative shall build on ongoing activities for empowering YPLHIV that NEPHAK has been undertaking to promote PHDP in HIV prevention and treatment. NEPHAK was also represented during the national launch of the “ALL IN” Campaign launched by the president with NEPHAK’s youngest advocate representing ALHIV.
